Embroidery and Screen Printing Production Associate

Graphitti is a growing family owned/operated screen printing and embroidery company looking for a motivated person to work in our apparel decorating shop. Graphitti is seeking a full-time (35+) individual to join our team. Experience is not as important as a desire to learn. We are looking for someone to grow with us. Must be dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete a variety of tasks assigned. Our typical working hours are daytime hours (8:00am-5:00pm); and we are not typically open nights or weekends.

What you’ll do:
As a Production Associate, you will be essential to the creation of custom products for our valued customers. In this role:

You will learn all aspects of decoration: Shipping or Receiving, Ink Mixing, Materials Handling, Screen Printing, HTV decoration, Quality Control, Personalization
You will operate production equipment: Including printers, printing presses, embroidery machines, and heat presses for decorating t-shirts and other apparel products
You will provide quality control: Inspecting all goods before and after printing, ensuring each order is completed accurately and to our customer’s expectations. Attention to detail is a must!
Your role will involve handling, counting, and checking hundreds of items daily
Each area of our operation operates under clear deadlines and goals
You will maintain pace: Knowing your targets and consistently working to achieve them
You will work as a team: Knowing when to ask for help, and when to provide support. Generally being present and showing up well for teammates

How you’ll be measured: The essential measures of success for this position are:
Productivity & Accuracy – maintaining (and striving to exceed) targeted expectations for average number of orders completed per day, and consistently accomplishing the quality of work our customers expect
Teamwork – working collaboratively with your team providing feedback

Each role in our Production facility: Operates under clear deadlines and results-oriented metrics, Has clear tasks, positions, and are organized and optimized for productivity. Includes repetitive actions that maximize consistent, high quality results

What we’re looking for:
You will lift up to 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time. No specific prior printing experience is required, but a solid track record of focused and productive work is desired. Experience with basic computer knowledge (email, opening files, Excel) is a must!

 

Requirements:

·         High School diploma/GED

·         Proficient computer skills a must

·         Excellent hand-eye coordination

·         Solid verbal and written skills with the capacity to communicate clearly

·         Ability to stand for an extended time, while using hands and arms

·         Ability to work with ink and cleaning chemicals every day

·         Ability to manually operate, and work safely with moving machinery

·         Ability to work safely with moving machinery

·         Good vision with the ability to discern color

·         Basic math skills a must

·         Must be punctual and reliable

 

Other Duties:

·         Help answer phone calls and customers.

·         Help with cleaning and maintaining print shop and equipment.
